Position Overview
Nicholas & Associates, Inc. provides construction services primarily in the education, private development, and multi-family markets. The Project Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management of the building process. This includes the oversight of the project schedule and budget, as well as the management of a construction team comprised of subcontractors, architects, engineers, owners, and project superintendents, engineers, and administrators.
Primary Responsibilities
- Create and manage the project schedule, including deadlines and milestones
- Coordinate the construction team, design team, and project consultants
- Establish and manage the project budget
- Facilitate the project bidding and procurement processes
- Develop bidding scopes of work and evaluate trade proposals
- Monitor and coordinate all submittals and Requests for Information
- Monitor costs and changes to the project, including change order review
- Generate project related documentation/correspondence
- Manage relationships and communication with key stakeholders including clients, municipalities, the construction team, and the design team
Qualifications
Knowledge Preferences
- Experienced project manager with a minimum of 5 years of directly managing construction projects
- Associates/bachelor’s degree in construction management
- OSHA-30 certification
Skills
- Proficiency in reading construction documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office
- Experience in multi-story apartment, municipality, or school construction is preferred
Abilities
- Ability to lead and manage a construction team
- Ability to be extremely organized and work well under pressure to meet deadlines
