Nick Sr. was a brilliant businessman, whose practicality, energy and vision could take the smallest idea and grow it to its fullest potential. Capitalizing on a small construction opportunity from his kitchen table in 1978, Nick Sr. turned his vision into a national construction enterprise and built schools, churches, municipal projects, and park and recreation facilities. He is the reason that Nicholas & Associates has reached the level of success it has today. 

Nick Sr.’s business accomplishments paled in comparison to his magnetic personality. Those who knew him loved him, and those who loved him wanted to be near him. He was a great storyteller who effortlessly entertained rooms full of people with his anecdotes. He found humor in every situation and was quick to evoke a smile with a light-hearted joke. Nick Sr. treated everyone with respect and compassion. His mantra was “if you give it away it all comes back ten-fold” and he spent every minute helping those around him.  He was a friend to all and a friend for life.
